trying to cater to a wider audience isnt taking a risk. especially today making a catchy f**kboy joint isnt hard. him doing a full album with v don or daringer would be a risk considering itd prolly sell less but it would be slobbed for yrs if it happened

Thread title is clickbait but yeah Nas has some issues with crazy song concepts and beat selection.
I wouldn't ask him to change though, thats his creativity. He is a GOAT, Its just a few songs that don't work or could be made better, like this one:

88, any update on the NaS albums since 2012? I mean, for being a NaS Stan and all haha. Here's some gems that I love off of LT2... Nothing sneaky about it lol but I thought it was relevant. Yeah there are a bunch of Nas records that have no replay value for me due to the beat choices. Thats why I make things like that, to me Nas sounds best over grimy boom bap or soulful beats. |
