Their final collaboration. I felt Magic 2 was a little uninspired, though better than the average trash we get these days. I have decent hopes for this one. After all, it is N@S 50th.
What N@S has done with the Magic / King series, really solidifies his GOAT status for me. No one from the 90s(or even todays artists) is doing it like has the last 5 years.
Fingers crossed.

I agree with this. And I only play like 3 songs of Magic 2. Magic is one of Nas’ best albums imo and that sounds kinda crazy when you consider his catalog. Hopefully this last Hit X Nas album sticks the landing and caps off one of the most incredible runs I ever got to witness. Even if Magic 3 is 10 tracks of silence his legacy is cemented.

I put together a pretty fkn close playlist that’s true to the I Am double album that was bootlegged and scrapped by Nas. 25 songs.
I found 4 songs on this weird Nas/Game LP I found on Apple Music that ain’t on I Am, Nastradamus or Lost Tapes 1.

I'm not surprised by this and it's right thing that he ends this odyssey with Hit Boy, 6 albums is more than enough lol I hope 3 will be better than 2

I saved a song from the first that was incredible and I felt was a good farewell to nas for me. I've moved past his music.

That song Star Wars is so fkn dope. Guess it was on some 10th anniversary edition of Illmatic.
Nas got more lost and forgotten songs than most rappers have actual songs lol.

can u post the tracklist to the double cd buck? This is the best I can do right now There’s like 3 songs that I can’t find on Apple Music on there. His idea was to have the first disc about life and being born like how it starts with Fetus and ends with him committing suicide. The second disc is about resurrecting. It starts off with him begging God and Jesus for a second chance and goes right into being reborn again as Nastradamus. Pretty ill concept.

“Fly from infancy to half a century.”
Too much dope sht to even digest it’s like a Microwave blast of dope hip hop
Imma let this marinate before I talk sht.
Incredible beats start to finish tho. Nas was ice cold on the mic as expected but they saved the spotlight for the beats on this one.
Good call too. They was s**tting on hit boys beats

Great album. At this point Nas is so far above anyone else when it comes to GOAT status.
50 year old rapping circles around anyone else. Love it.
I didn't like Hitboy at first but I've grown to really like his sound.

Very great album.Magic 3 was a proper send off to a dope collab run that refreshed and reinvigorated Nas. Magic 2 felt weak and rushed, Magic 3 feels composed and celebratory. The totality lyrcism of the his career, insight, lessons, and philosophies have always been captivating to me. And he displays this in a mature, classy yet Hip Hop manner.
The storytelling tracks were definitely the strongest which says a lot considering this has a bunch of strong tracks left to right. Very curious to see what Nas got next up his sleeve. We might have to wait 2 years and I'm cool with that.
Fav tracks: Pretty Young Girl Blue Bentley TSK Superhero Status Based On True Events Pt 1 and 2 Fever Never Die Japanese Soul Bar 1-800-Hit&Nas

Nas lyrics are vivid as fukk:
He had bright orange leather luggage when he arrived At the world's oldest restaurant, since 1725 Madrid was live, lookin' in this woman's eyes Lookin' where his name used to be now covered with butterflies

Love this album. What a perfect ending to a great series. I'm on the wall tbh with magic 3 or 1 being his best. Hit boy had me from the Benny joints, but here he has received my nomination for top 5 out right now. Nas penmanship is top notch.
I don't find myself skipping any tracks and the first 9 tracks, Flow so nice with each other. Such a cohesive album.
4.5/5 Mics for me.
5/5 out of principle for being able to drop an album like this in 2023 and N@s being 50!
GOAT - and it's not even close......

Yeah same, I thought this was the strongest but went back and listened to Magic 1 and now I'm unsure.
They are my favorite of the 6 collab albums.
Anyone prefer the kings disease series?
All of them are good to be fair

I'd rank this 3rd behind Magic and KD3. I didn't go back to any of them nearly as much as Magic 1 tho. Think I'll make a Spotify playlist with all the keepers.

My coworker was showing me some Youtube video about the story behind the Hate Me Now video when Puff brained Steve Stout with a bottle for showing the version with the crucifixion. Anyways, it was a white guy that made the Youtube video and he kept pronouncing Nas like Nozz and I told him he gotta turn that s**t off, I hate that s**t.
But yeah, this is dope. Also I fw Magic 2. Surprised how many on here don't.

The illest sht would have been if during those opening bars to Fever, when Nas goes “Pardon, that’s the chef” and the beat kicks in, if Raekwon came in and just destroyed it. THAT s**t woulda been magic. If I ever wanted a surprise guess verse that would be it.
This isn’t as good as Magic but it’s a lot better than Magic 2 in my opinion.
My favorite song on Magic 2 is Slow It Down.
I also fk with Pistols On Your Album Cover and What It All Really Means.
Abracadabra shouldn’t have started the album off. Imma sound old but I don’t like Nas on beats like that at all. I was hoping for something incredible like Speechless to set it off. I don’t like Black Magic but the Rae and Ghost shoutouts are dope.
50 kinda ruined office hours for me. Nas should have just had him talk real disrespectful for two minutes at the end instead of letting him spit that weak s**t.
And Motion is dope but the hook is trash. Bokeem Woodbine kinda knocks too. I fk with that song.

Nah wait it’s Erving Magic Johnson with the Rae and Ghost shout outs.
Black Magic is the one I don’t care for.

Yeah. It’s not a debate anymore.
Nas is the greatest rapper to ever do it.
And I think it’s going to be impossible to ever top.
You’d need to come out with literally the greatest hip hop album of all time as a teenager, destroy one of the best (Jay Z) in a battle and be in the game for over 30 years.
Oh and be born the same year hip hop was invented.
