They got most the names, not necessarily the order I'd go with but I can deal with KRS at #1. It's also kind cookie cutter and you can see they almost randomly chose one MC from each group for the most part even when there could be more who are equally deserving or arguably better.
Obviously missing from the list are The D.O.C., Myka 9, and at least Cold187um or Kokane. You can't be that consistent and groundbreaking and be bumped off for some of the other names that were on the list.

I’m cool with this.
Crazy Slick Rick and Prodigy didn’t make their list tho.

Skyzoo, Ka, and Billy Woods are all questionable choices. Not super mad at it. Chino XL is an MC I would likely have in there somewhere, Ras Kass too. OC & Cormega as well. And yes, Prodigy is a glaring omission.
Ice T is an MC I am completely unfamiliar with. I recognize him as an OG, but I can't name one of his songs. Lol I thought Funky Cold Medina, but nah that was Tone Loc.

Ice-T PSA
You never heard Colors?
I was all in on his first four albums and kinda moved on after that but almost 10 years later, he came with this gem on Laylaw's album:
I eventually went back and caught up on some of his albums after the first 4 and a bunch of them have always been on deck to this day.
And the whole Rhyme Syndicate laid down the foundation for West Coast hiphop
Shout out to Donald D who killed every one of his many features on Ice-T albums. Shame he was never able to have the same impact on his solo records.

Nah, can't say I have heard Colors. Some of it is me being from the east coast, and some of it is being the age that I am (42 next month) and missing out on the era that he came from. I am not really a fan of west coast g-funk. Respect the impact that he had though.

I've seen worse. If you need a representative from the NYC indie scene of the late 90's...it should obviously be El-P...axe J-Live, Aesop Rock, and RA the Rugged Man (lol). Skyzoo is one of the most generic MC's of all time. Prodigy missing has to be a mistake. Order is f**ked here and there, but yeah, seen worse.

I actually didn't notice their Honorable Mentions at the end (51-100). So I guess Prodigy wasn't a mistake not being in top 50. And B-Real wasn't in the top 100? eh, looking more suspect now.

I didn't see the honorable mentions either. Del is another MC that should definitely be top 50. And yeah Ra the Rugged Man doesn't belong there, not even sure he belongs in the top 100, dope MC though.
