I had these joints come on a shuffle of mine the other day and there really good. I forgot how dope akrobatik was. He was someone I didn't check for but a little back in the day but going back most his material is good. What did y'all think of this album???

The good songs were really good, but overall the beats were meh if I recall. Him and Mr lif both suffer from terrible beat picking

there was a time when i kinda wrote ak off but him and lif are two of the greats to me. the last perceptionists album had great beats by willie e and p locke (rip) and a few others. their message has always been strong and they rep Boston Hip Hop as some of the best next to czarface, insight, and edan, and a few others.

I actually don't have his 2003 album Balance but I know its even better than this and that first perceptionists album is also good.

yeah balance still holds up and built 2 last was solid too. i think ughh exclusively released that cd at the height of their ughh fame. biggups to adam walder the hip hop history guy. still a legend 2 me for creating and running ughh so well thru the era that he was i charge. he was like the jeff bezos of rap

I remember being disappointed by it when it dropped, but there are definitely some good songs in there, you posted some of them. Black Hell Breaks Loose is an awesome beat from Therapy (from the Asamov crew). I liked Front Steps Pt. II as well. Could have been better production overall for sure, I agree with Grayscale that him and Lif deserved better beats. Akrobatik had a strong clear delivery and rough voice. Good MC for sure, I met him once at show in Baltimore and sold him some weed haha. Met Icon the Mic King at that show too.
I'm gonna listen to the album again, thanks for reminding me. As of now it is like a 7.17/10

mo mega is easily lifs worst. i phantom emergency rations and i heard it today are all top notch and so was his ep with l-orange and stu bangaz a few years back.
both perceptionists albums get the job done but 2nd one is better to me.

So i listened to Balance and I'm pretty sure I never heard this album or just once back when. Its got good beats to me and the raps are packed with a ton of substance. I thought u could maybe trim 2 or 3 songs and it'd be great not just good. But my favorite tracks were "The hand that rocks the cradle" and "Here and Now" its a complete album and thers zero skits which is nice sometimes.

I had his verse on a Mr lif collab on my ig post. HE told me to take it off cuz Talib mentioned him on my post and of course these idiotic rappers hate far right truthers, not saying I’m far right but you know what I mean

I haven’t been invited to any family gatherings since I was like 18. I think it’s because I’m not with this Bay Area liberal agenda s**t that everyone in my family is hypnotized from . Now my dads side my black side they don’t have that problem , they’re not addicted to the news and my cousin Lakiah is Anonymous, she goes out and rallies and makes over a 100k at her tech job. I Can relate more to my Black side then my Latin side

I remember I liked that album a lot, but like it happens with way too many albums I never went back to it afer 1 or 2 years...I guess there was a reason for that.
