My biggest gripe with a lot of albums today, as some have mentioned, lack of standout tracks or hits. Though El shows he is still a very sharp Emcee, this album has a mundane-like feeling to it. I'm not sure he can say anything new at this point to really separate his sound from previous projects. Oh no is a talented producer not sure an entire album on his own though would be something i would ever truly enjoy.
Oh no and KA or Marciano may go well together?
I loved El in his SV / BM days. Ellmatic was a great album where his vocals sounded alive and vibrant. The "punch" with his words matched the beats.
I certainly enjoyed the album, but i have a feeling i won't remember it years down the road.
7/10.

There has been some pretty fair assessments in this thread.

@preface to gino i feel ya - still gotta revisit and see if my feelings changed. ive always had the cd, but def wasn't what i was hoping for and have a lot of albums from that year i still go back to and always liked more like emc, pro tools, etc. my fav elzhi in sv was detroit deli ftr. same with t3. they were kinda poppy but smooth af on that album and el had the best voice, flows, and bars at the time.
and ftr i do like the albums el dropped after lead poison but not as many joints stood out on them last 3 including the khrysis one.
might cop this new 1 today & yoddy....
edit: copped the el no, and the last 3 yod's
double feature (the yodfather/ the shining) yodney dangerfield & yod stewart (while literally bumping this at work....)

I really liked Europass from Elzhi, first time I realised he was splendid on the mic.
It had a earlier version of "in my sleep" that was more raw than the one on preface.
Around the time Europass came out I was checking everywhere for El verses.
Always thought Elzhi killed this verse on this Fat Ray song:

I believe my first time hearing El, was on Binary star - KGB. He absolutely bodied that track, damn near best verse on the album. I was a big fan of his, shame he didn't materialize more than what he has.
Then on Dillas - Welcome to Detroit - come get it

^^ El has come a long way since being this spitter, whilst he had the signs of an ill dude, he has much more precision to his craft present day.
