I actually think Oh No is nice on the Mic too. On those Gangrene albums I didn't care for Alchemist raps but Oh No is a good producer and can spit.
Didn't know about this new one with Elzhi but excited for it now.

A cohesive musical journey if you will.
And another AOTY contender.
So much dope hip hop just dropped.
Between this, AZ and CZARFACE, I’m good.

Beats are drugged out and dreamy. Elzhi went nuts on this. Its really good. Love "Twilight Zone" and "Bishop".

Ordered! Cost me $23 with shipping. That site has lots of dope s**t! Definitely know Nature Sounds but didn't know they had so much material. Lots of Your Old Droog stuff, Dilla, SadhuGold, Tha God Fahim, Fatlip & Blu. I'm gonna have to check some more of this s**t.

Nah this is fire. Production is dope and Elzhi still got it.
Voice does sound a lil different diagrams, deeper reminds me of large pro / nas even slightly.
It's a dope listen top tier.

His voice does sound deeper but he goes off on this. I'd like the instrumentals though.

He switches up his tone on RIP and Say it Don't Spray it. I thought it was Oh No rapping on that track at first. Album is great. Oh No's production suits him well.

I bought the album based off all of your reactions in this thread, so looking forward to it! Been a while since I bought an album blind. Haven't heard a song yet, will certainly post my reactions when I spin it.
The Gangrene albums is where Oh No really showcased his production skills. Those albums slam. I haven't heard much of his other material aside from The Disrupt, which I like a lot. He has been steadily putting in work the last two decades.

Possessed Trick Dice RIP Bishop Last Nerve In Your Feelings
Sometimes, like in this case, I regret that we are so 'small' and almost no one participates in the discussion of great albums released...f**k that s**t

Interesting album. Through three spins, I am not as high on it as most of you. It's unique and I appreciate the blunted jazz sound Oh No is going for, but it sounds muddled to me. Not much distinction or variety from song to song. The title of the album definitely matches the sound I'll say that. Heavy mood album, lots of keys, I heard a xylophone on a bunch of different beats. You can tell Oh No really dug in the crates for this one. I feel like I would like this album more if I were drunk or high haha. The album lacks that definitive banger, although RIP goes pretty hard.
Elzhi does his thing, lots of storytelling tracks. His voice does sound a little different, may have just been the way it was recorded.
Good album but I'm not going crazy. 8.1/10 for a B-

Heavy mood album is definitely the right way to put it. It's far more streamlined towards the full play than the one off record that exhibits versatility, though El always manages to do that thematically with his lyrics when you look at tracks like Bishop, In Your Feelings, Twilight Zone and Last Nerve. I think how much you like this album is gonna depend on how much you dig the direction of the production because it definitely has a murky feel.
