Torae is like Skyzoo to me. Technically impressive but makes boring music. Like I've heard a bunch of tracks from the both of them and yet couldn't name one off the top of my head if you asked me to.

I kind of agree with you. I couldn't name these but I know them by ear. If you asked me to throw on Skyzoo I would play Corner Store Classic and Torae I'd play Daily Conversation or Double Barrel. |

Out of the two I much prefer Torae. I don't dislike Skyzoo but I don't listen to his albums. I may be dumb but I can't understand what he's on about half the time.

Torae is def boring. Skyzoo is great. And I always found marco polo beats boring to. I gotta go back and listen to the first before I consider this one.

Got around to giving it a couple of spins. Feel the same way as BTK, it was aight.
Double Barrel had tracks like Lifetime, Smoke, Danger, Stomp, the title track which are all better than anything on this album imo. But damn that was 14 years ago, when i graduated. crazy. it's not a bad album just don't see myself really going back to it much..

I was a little let down by this new Torae and MP, I don't know, it just came across like a tick in the box for them.

entitled is the torae album i love the most I need to revisit that one asap then something about it really clicked for me. i believe it was one of the first solid releases that year with real good production so it just got a lot of spins and left a lasting impression that he was more than capable of holding down a whole album. this killer collab w phonte on here was a standout. ALSO barrel brothers album by sky and torae was a great album as well. the sean p song was ridic! |
