The featured artist in this dump is the Homeboy Sandman. I never bumped him but I recently acquired some more of his discog. Any fans and favorite albums/songs/features *I enjoyed Kenichiro Nishihara's "Rugged Mystic Jazz" for years, now have a few more of his albums featuring Substantial, Cise Starr, Slik d and several female vocalists *more suff daddy and dj spinna beats always appreciated *awol one and ras kass still appearing with a couple releases *recent drops like open mike eagle, recognize ali, stik figa, AFRO, Him LO etc..

What did you think of that Elcamino / King Ralph? I got the impression King Ralph was Elcamino's older brother?
Also the Him Lo Giallo was dope. I swear Him Lo could spit effectively the same verse a hundred times over dope beats and he always entertains.

Mirror Music is such a disappointment. I remember buying that when it dropped expecting some heat because Wordsworth was a fairly big name in the underground at the time. Meh, there are like 3 good songs. I dunno if that deluxe edition is any better.
I should really check out some more Stik Figa albums, as much as I like City Under the City.

I was disappointed by that Ray West Macaroni Ray. Considering the rapper list. It was uninspiring.
Haven't heard those particular Stik Figa releases and will do so. But I recommend his ones with Conductor Williams, particularly Stik Figa x Conductor Williams Tomorrow Is Forgotten. He does less of that "Conductor we have a problem!!!" thing too.

out of the sandmans dope discog, i like dusty, hallways and chimera the best. all the eps that came out around the time chimera dropped were dope. i see at least 4 here in the your stash. (subject:matter, kool herc:fertile crescent, and all that i hold dear being the other 3)
that new open mike eagle is fire to me. he seems to have gained his fun sense of humor back and having young zee on a track scores extra bonus points! his crew is all dope on the posse cuts too. fun fun fun. highly recommend 2023 release by me!
bummer bout the macaroni. they were on fire between pianos in the projects and rays cafe, but seemed to have gotten more sparse with the releases thru the years. i still love ray west though. great dude and producer!
i miss those ditc slice of spice albums. that label had the best attention to detail on vinyl and cd releases. they must have went bankrupt

Was listening to the latest Homeboy Sandman album before coming here. It's called Rich produced by Mono En Stereo (f/k/a RTNC). I really, really like it. I liked last year's Chimera a lot too. Dude's music can be very hit or miss for me but when he hits, you can appreciate his brilliance.

him and mono are a great team. glad you like it. i was thinking about getting it. i still haven't even heard the one he did with deca which i believe you are referring to.
chimera is an ep he dropped on stones throw back in the mid 2010's though.

I need convincing about the Homeboy, haven't liked anything of his even his guest verses.
It's become a instant pass for me.
Am I f**king up?

Booze Bros have a formula that works. They might spit the same lines many times but it doesn't matter because they always entertain.
Some other thoughts: - The Eff Yoo with Deep from 2 Hungry Bros was a let down to me and I like the artists - When Roc Marci dropped Elephant Bones I was snoozing, now with the re-release I bumped it a few times and realised its greatness. It's frustratingly dope. - The 38 Spesh and Conway got rave reviews but was boring to me (like most of Conway's stuff) - I thought I had more but that is all lol
