I've been watching these old skateboarding VHS I found in my basement. The Nostalgia is flooding out. Transworld, Old 411s, Osiris - The Storm, Shorty's - Fulfil the Dream.
So many more... Peter Smolik was my favorite skater. Tom Penny too but he was so reclusive.
You guys have any?

Rodney Mullen is one of my favorite skaters for all his darkside tricks back in the day.
Gino looks like a grodier version of Chad Muska, irl.

Good post! I just got back into skating a couple years ago after almost two decades of not really skating (but always had a full setup to cruise around or just in case). Been watching hundreds of videos since and can't remember any tracks in particular but hiphop always went hand in hand with skating to me.
John Lucero, Mike Vallely, Daewon Song were some of my favorites. Recently been really impressed with Louie Lopez's parts.

Everyone loves Rodney Mullen. Myself included. Homes had the best tricks and pioneered a new style in skating. Still Penny had the O.G. Style and still does (look at gawd’s matching fits game) and before the blow and fame, Smolik had the style.

used to watch the xgames when it was on as a kid. i watched this live when I was 8 still remember when it happened. i f**ked with THPS 1+2 and I had that Dave Mirra BMX on PS1

Mullen was such a geek but when he transitioned to street he became fire…..dark slides were nuts
Natas was one of my favorite skaters such a trailblazer, his Ollie, fire hydrant, one foot , wall rides
H town skaters were sick, Ron Allen, Matt Hensley
Valleley was dope for a Powell guy
ramp skaters bored the s**t out of me still do….although mini ramps were fun
good times

I was more talking about hip hop you heard on skating vids than actual skaters (although both topics are dear to me!)
I was riding around in this piece of s**t toyota corolla but i put a couple of 6 inches in the boot and they pumped some beats.
I would play these songs people couldn't understand where i got them. Examples:
I used to smoke weed in the basement after work stacking shelves at foodland. Take me back.
