It doesn't have the underground hiphop sound that you would expect from a Mellow Music Group release or after listening some of his freestyles, but I still enjoyed it: mellomusicgroup.bandcamp.com/album/g-i-t-u<iframe style="border: 0; width: 350px; height: 786px;" src="https://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/album=2932255438/size=large/bgcol=ffffff/linkcol=0687f5/transparent=true/" seamless><a href="http://mellomusicgroup.bandcamp.com/album/g-i-t-u">G.I.T.U. by Chris Rivers</a></iframe>

But it caught me in a mood where I preferred to listen either. proper raps over half-mainstrram beats rather than average mc's over dope raw / boom bap beats.

the autotune and hi hat beats in the first two singles made me a little less eager to want to check this project. he trys to walk a fine line like his dad and i cant be mad, i've always supported the kid and he's killed a ton of features, but yeah off rip maybe thinking this ain't my cup of tea.
anyone ever check his delorean lp? i remember feeling a similar way when that dropped and never checked it. tbh there is just so much good/great stuff coming out at a rapid rate if it ain't my flavor it's a lot more easy to pass on nowadays.
