Watched that beyonce visual album the other day. Pretty great. The opener and the song about women being dope were the highlights.

Nah, supposed to be terrible. Plus, David Ayer already made the same movie 15yrs ago. Harsh times with Cristian Bale. Really weird.

Not a movie, but the best thing I've watched recently is The Watchmen miniseries. Highly recommended.

I'll watch The Watchmen after I finish The Wire and report back.
Have you seen When They See Us, I'm sure you have.
Great miniseries that was up for a bunch of awards...I just saw for the first time, wife put me on to it.

Yeah, really good. Especially the story of the last guy. Great performance. That storyline felt like a movie to itself.

shouts to Pauly Walnuts...."they don't know what they're doing & they're doing it to me"....talking about media & fans at a Sopranos convention....."if i was around a bunch of wiseguys shooting each other i'd feel more comfortable".....you have no clue how on point that is....
also shouts to mickey rourke....they asked him who he'd have in his army & he don't hesitate....me, chuck lidell, ken shamrock, 2pac, jim brown, we'll go handle that sh1t.....
the stuff going on today is all run by beta males, hipsters in park slope & echo park fantasizing about how people should interact, and that's why things are out of whack......but in real life, this is how it goes down.....

Can we get some 2020 movies and negflix series recommendation?
Watch FAUDA on negflix its daf Also "The Queen's Gambit" if you like chess.
Movies... obviously this year it has been a disaster, I think the only time I have been in the theater was for seeing the christopher nolan flick which was way too complicated. s**t year.

I watched American Hustle for the first time yesterday...holy f**k nuts. Christian Bale might be my favorite actor the last 10 years or so.

A lot of people don't like that movie, arguing that it rips off Scorsese/Goodfellas' style too much.
But I counter that argument with the forger scene in the movie. I think Russell is intentionally doing a "forgery" of Scorsese's style. With that interpretation, I think the style is pretty cool, and I like the movie quite a bit.

The man who wasn't there is so good, but gets overlooked, because the coens just have so many good movies. A total gem. Billy Bob Thornton as a barber that gets involved in some crime.
