The Sopranos was an otherwise great story with a few really exaggerated character portrayals in Silvio and Tony ...its like the directors of the show told these guys to turn up the accent to 25 and sound like they’re straight off the boat in 1934...as someone whose actually seen “those types” before I can confirm they sound like ordinary new york/jersey guys...point is I have yet to hear anyone sound like Tony Soprano or Silvio Dante in real life...with the exception of a few crackheads from around my way 😭

First 3 seasons were great. Then they got more into the characters' inner demons and less about the actual operations, which is what I enjoyed most. Sub plots like the kids, the sister, dude going up to NH after coming out, were agonizing

Tony was a 🐀 . The name of the show gave that away . a whole generation missed it .
The powers that be apply enough pressure they all sing like sopranos .
