I got Detroit emeralds you want it you got it, sun sun power and john Coltrane ole yesterday. Also bought a nice little collection to. Couple psych records in ther I'm gonna keep, specifically this band called hobbit.
Pretty obsessed with the album in the OP right now.
Two 2021 black and white movies I've watched this weekend, Passing and C'mon Cmon, both heavily featured songs from it. I was awaee of the album before this weekend, but am finally diving in now, because the universe is telling me to.
That art blakey is good but I'm not a fan of the more standard jazz. Either fusion (the cheap s**t) or free/spiritual jazz (the crazy expensive stuff) I'm not a blue note guy really. Its calm and great to relax to but eh.
Thank u for making this thread. I didn't wanna be the one to make it and it get ignored. Its just infinitely more exciting cuz it basically does never end and its all genres. I'm telling u break collecting, sample collecting or just plain old heat is addicting as f**k. Its an expensive hobby records but u never run out of new/old things to look for. I love it. And when u start buying books that have EVERYTHING that in them that's explained so detailed u find even more s**t u want. I got jazz books, acid archives book, American psych, Canadian and south America psych, funk and soul and library music. Thers literally almost a million albums to go thru ther.
