To all the historians of UGHH and anyone who wants to add on, why is Viacom given the side eye when mentioned about the presentation of African American culture and lifestyle. The cable corporation has MTV, Nickolodeon, VH1, and Comedy Central, and infamously acquired BET for 3 billion in 2001(losing it's status as a black owned company). I notice sites such as TheColi and AllHipHop consider them artificial, half assed in showing the culture similar to Hip Hop views on Sugar Hill Records and Uptown Records(Them being wack and not the real). Whether it be black comedians, actors, and musicians being showcased-there tends to be a stigma of them showing the coonish, fake nature of African American culture. So with that being said what is UGHH thoughts on the troubled history of Black representation. P.S. I do appreciate Nickolodeon for showcasing Black and Brown talent such as All That, Kenan and Kel, Taina, Cousin Skeeter, Just Jordan, etc.
