Man, this guy's on mt. rushmore of rap, imo. There's a before and after.
His courage to embrace the nerd in himself within a genre as masculine as hip hop. His eclectic beats. His unique references. Madvillainy. His breathless flow on rhymes like dimes. Like no other.

One of the greats who really pushed this rap s**t forward. His music is ageless. f**kin sucks getting old and seeing all your idols pass on early.

I listen to rhymes like dimes often, just to marvel at his flow. The way he allows it to be intentionally clumsy in some parts. The way he just keeps going. It's so fresh and bursting with life afterthe years of hardship he went through, post kmd. It's a victory lap, where he's so excited, he can hardly stop for air.

He's so elusive, there could either be hours of material out there or none at all. Hopefully madlib is involved if they do something with whatever's still in the vaults.

It says he died in October? Lmaooo
Jesus Christ. Only MF Doom would let everyone know he’s dead 2 months later.
Classic Doom move!
Belated RIP tho.

Agreed. The most doom death ever, a beautiful irony to it. His illusivness was always genuine

De la soul's Rock cokane flow is the first doom track I ever heard, tbh. Only started getting really into underground stuff in high school, which is when that album came out. Great track, anyway.

I'm not sure what the f**k you are talking about. The Mouse and the Mask is a great album though.

Dangerdoom was just coming out when I was first diving into doom's catalogue, so I came right when the main run of his career was ending.

De la soul's Rock cokane flow is the first doom track I ever heard, tbh. Only started getting really into underground stuff in high school, which is when that album came out. Great track, anyway. I went to Access Music in 2003 to pick up some albums...which you have been to and bought albums from... I used to always ask the person working that day, "Any personal recommendation?" Those 3 words got me into so much amazing s**t over the years. Viktor Vaughn, Vaudeville Villain was the rec that day. I honestly wasn't all that impressed initially...but like other classic albums that I didn't initially like...the brilliance of the artist's concepts and delivery became clear. The legend of DOOM grew over time with other albums, especially Madvillainy and The Mask And The Mouse. Finally bursting my ughh crush bubble when it was game time. Can I Watch is still my favorite DOOM track of all time.

The first time I visited New York in 2005 I bought Venomous Villain on CD. It was in this record shop with white interior on a side street.
It's actually one of my favorite hip hop albums.
He contributed alot to Hip Hop culture.
