To me, that Elzhi album is by far the best album this year. The Dopp album would be 2nd but nothing is touching that Elzhi.

f**k what you heard I loved Chris Rock on this album. The way he comes through after all that new world order s**t is my favorite part of the album.
The beat is ill and he goes “this might be - this might BE the last day. And LUCKY YOU. On your last day. You gone hear the new Busta Rhymes album. LUCKY b***h.”
That s**t is dooooope. Chris Rick killed this s**t too.

Lol wrong thread my bad
Top picks are Gibbs X ALC Aesop Rock sneakin in there
I don’t got any Griselda up there this year which is crazy. Bennys s**t is dope tho. Just too much shine on it maybe.
Reasonable Drought gonna be in my top 3. I could call it my favorite cuz it was basically the covid lockdown theme music but that’s the same reason I don’t f**k with it as much right now. If we lockdown again that s**t is on full blast doe lol.
Busta Rhymes Extinction 2 could be my favorite album this year too. I don’t gotta discuss it no more. That s**t was dope to me.

RTJ4 was a letdown tho. I hold their first 3 albums in high regards. I don’t exactly know what my problem is with the 4th album but I wasn’t feeling it 100 like the other 3 albums. A lot of beats were too stripped down for me. Plus at the time riots were going on everywhere and it felt like some almost wannabe revolution s**t. Leave that reporting live from the streets s**t to chuck and flav or NWA.
Plus it seems like it got jocked by the media before anyone even head the s**t. Like “yeah the first 3 were dope just give it a free pass cuz everyone likes it” bulls**t. I don’t know. There was some heat on there absolutely, but the whole s**t didn’t flow like the other 3.
Again, to me the first 3 albums are masterpieces.

DUMP LIFE is stupid slept on. That’s another covid banger for me. Top 5 album 2020 all day. Mad motherf**kers all over this and I can’t name one other than Fahim. Some dope rappers on this trying to outshine each other. This s**t is still in rotation.

That Royce sounds like some pseudo conscious new woke s**t , he was never a concious rapper just riding this new woke wave , I’ve been concious for as long as I can remember and this new wave is funny , they won’t even go back to study history books but suck off memes all day, he even gives shouts out to DL hugely and David banner who post woke memes but won’t give a shout out to dead black scholars 🤔🤔🤔

I will say of the small amount of 2020 releases I've heard by far the worst was gorilla twins. That opening was so tremendous then the whole album goes down hill. That track "bong" tho is insanity

Vinnie paz album had like 4-5 good tracks. What a disappointment. The beats kinda sucked. And demoz lol don't get me started. And blocks mccloud is the worst hook guy ever. Mega cheese.

i think i have 6-7 2020 albums sitting on my floor i havent peeped but i did listen to lulu and the boldy and alc. they were decent. boldy is a good rapper i just dont like his druggy delivery its annoying. on the other side of slow flow, i feel conway has def perfected it. he makes alot of the same s**t but hes dope. id still rank griselda as they debuted, gunn, conway then benny.

Gotham with Method man is nice too. The whole album. MOP is dope but let’s be real and tell the truth.....we’re all listening for Lil Fame’s verse right? Billy Danze without Fame is kinda wack. It’s like Phife without Tip. Where’s that Fizzy album? He’s the real talent.
