Mr. Lif & L’orange- Life and death of scenery
Jazz Spastiks & Sleep Sinatra- Portals
props on getting this board going (=) aka new Quest.

loved life and death of scenery, easily my favorite ep of the year. the only track on there i don't love is antique gold, which is really unfortunate since i'm a chester watson fan. he dropped the ball on that one.
didn't care for the jazz spastiks/sleep sinatra that much, i like sleep sinatra in smaller doses and when he's on a track with someone like ichiban hashface but he's not interesting enough to keep me engaged for a whole project. some nice beats on there though.
my top 10 EPs in order from 1-10:
Mr. Lif & L’Orange - Life and death of scenery Noveliss - Mic Swordz Willie Evans Jr - The Crush Blueprint & Aesop Rock - Vigilante Genesis Blu & Fa†e - Open Your Optics to Optimism Oddisee - Alwasta Tanya Morgan - Abandoned Theme Park Sadistik - Salo Sessions Aesop Rock & Homeboy Sandman - Lice Two: Still Buggin' K.A.A.N - Uncommon Knowledge RA Scion & Theory Hazit - More Power to You

Gino, did you sticky this? lol I'm good with leaving it for now, but if the real boards do go defunct, I'm hoping 88 will do his thing over here for this year's picks.

lice two was dramatically better than the first. i still think homeboy sandman is super overrated. his voice is wack as f**k. He's one of my favorite mc's....I just heard him spit on the Spinna joint at the right time and he had me hooked. Not everything he has done has been good, but he has some tracks that are incredibly lyrical, and I like his humor. He came along at a time I was looking for something different in hip-hop.

i like mic swordz because of all the samples and references, it's an extension of what noveliss was doing on his toonami tsunami's ep from 2015. it's all just really nostalgic for me since i grew up watching those shows on toonami.

Jazz Spastiks & Sleep Sinatra- Portals
Blu & Fate- Open your optics to optimism
Mindsone & DJ Iron- Phaseology (32 min-7 full songs) Jeremiah Jae & zeroh - Holy smoke (25 min-9 songs) Blueprint- Vigilante genesis
Zeroh- Tinnitus (27 Min- 8 full songs) KAAN- uncommon knowledge
Sach- Fidelity
DJ Rude One- Onederful (23 min-7 full songs)
ep length debate may insue but to me the above run time noted projects are too short and/or not having enough full songs to be considered legit full albums. I've seen artists call longer projects ep's.
call me the ep stickler!

I've seen artists call longer projects ep's. call me the ep stickler! i've also seen artists call shorter projects albums. you can be as much of a stickler as you want, i don't think it's really worth debating at this point. i'm just going by what the projects are considered to be by the artist that made them. the bandcamp description for tinnitus says "los angeles native, dyed in the wool hooligan zeroh gets loud, technical and strange all over again on his new ten track album" so i'll consider it an album too rather than complicate things.

I like the production (even though Aesop said they were throw away beats) and Blueprint always comes nice on the mic. I was expecting a little more from this though Nevertheless, it's a dope listen so nobody should sleep on it

Salo Sessions was great, I still go back to that all the time. I thought the EP with Kno was really good but that project doesn't have any individual tracks that I like as much as I Bought A Gun or Mourning Glory.
