Golden state winning the finals would be the most boring outcome imaginable to end this season.
And I'm not saying that to troll anyone or anything. One team being so successful gets boring. The game needs variety. I'm excited for that team to spread out, so those players can spread their wings and all that, like how harden did when he left the thunder.

One thing I thought about the other day: reffing golden state must be impossibly hard.
I mean, with a normal team like the raptors, where you got one superstar, you give the star the benefit of the doubt, and ref the rest of the team normal. As in, leanord gets calls no one else on the team does.
But with golden state, the whole starting lineup is superstars, when they're fully healthy. How do you ref that!? How do you give the superstars the benefit of the doubt, when they're ALL superstars, while still reffing a balanced/fair game for the other team?
For example, there were a number of times lowry and vanvleet got bumped in game 3, where, if it was steph that got bumped that same way, it'd be a foul. The superstar bias is there in every nba game, and it usually works out, since both teams typically only have one superstar. Golden state really complicates the whole unspoken system of superstar reffing. Refs must hate reffing them. Especially not being abke to give green technicals, even though he's howling every other play (however, he's been surprisingly more tame this series, relatively).

I'm genuinely curious who american basketball fans are rooting for, in general.
You got the raptors who aren't American, but they're also the underdogs.
Then you got the warriors who are american, but are boringly successful at this point.
So are american fans rooting for the american team, or for the underdog/variety?

Most Americans are rooting for the North, from what I can tell...me included. US sports fans like a dynasty until it's too much...we are at that point. Also, this dynasty was not organic, so many fans do not respect it or admire it. And let's not forget, without KD, this "all time great" Warriors team has 1 ring.

The jokes on twitter about the four person guitar during the canadian anthem are hils. Wtf was that thing?
Watching the start of the game at a fancy restaurant so the sound is muted.

Can anyone that watched the game explain that one foul not being a clear path foul to me?
For all Raptors games (even the nba finals), canadian broadcasting makes it so all canadians get the biased raptor commentators, as opposed to getting to hear the normal tnt commentators. So maybe the normal commentators had something to say about that play i didnt get to hear. Because the biased raptos commentators couldn't figure out why it wasn't a clear path foul. Lowry (and I think danny green) were both way ahead of the foul when it happened.
Isn't that a very obvious clear path foul???

Ball is ahead of the tip of the circle in the backcourt. No defender is ahead of the offensive player with the transition scoring opportunity. Player with the transition scoring opportunity is in control of the ball (or a pass has been thrown to him) The foul deprives his team of an opportunity to score.

I know the rule. Just don't know why they didnt call it that in that moment of game 4. Seemed like a pretty obvious clear path foul.

You clearly don't know the rule and might want to work on your reading comp. It's not a cherry picking foul.
