Sounds like some scrapped sht he pulled up and Nas was respectful and just murdered it cuz he’s auto-pilot nice.
What’s up with Primo? He forgot how to make beats? IMHO Nas is trying and Preem ain’t holding up his end of the bargain.

I get progressing and I get staying the same and keeping ur signature. Both sides but if he is done and that is yet to be determined isn't there a dillion other producers to check? Who cares if he is?

Millions of people have been begging for a Nas x Preem album since Illmatic. Now that the album is turning 30 they’re finally getting to it.
I can’t get over how a$$ that beat sounds.
How do you fall off as a producer?

The decline as a rapper I understand. You’re older, your voice changes, you have a whole different brain.
But a producer?
Bro it’s the same buttons

The whole different brain thing applies to pushing buttons too.. That said, I don't hate it but definitely agree that this is far from what we know Preemo could do.. feels like a commercial exhibiting what they can do instead of actually just doing it. The cuts also felt like a recreation of the Nas is Like cuts.
I will say the couple tracks he's done for Griselda recently have been flames. I'm sure there are some incredible beats in the stash from years ago too but it seems like Nas is more in create mode where they're likely building from the ground up with both the rhymes and the beats. That approach might work better with a hungrier producer like Hit Boy who's chemistry got better over time working together..

Prhyme 2 and the mc eiht collab had a lot of dull below average beats IMO.

Song is dope. Hopefully the album comes through. Sure it would of been nice 30 years ago but I’ll still take it.

I mean if we’re being honest, Nas often has a s**t ear for production, lol. So maybe he was listening to beats and was like this is the one. I mean they put it out as the first single to build hype after all.
