Just my opinion - MA is a snoozefest - even the new Masta Ace is a snoozefest. I'm not sure what else to say that hasn't been said itt. Masta Ace always comes correct but it's always in the same vein.
You can always count on 3 MA songs to cover the following topics, something about the industry being shady, something about the neighborhood changing, and something about the history of hip hop. His skits suck too.

Kool G Rap's best album is Live and Let Die. It was the prequel to Biggie's Ready To Die.

G Raps verses on the Godfathers album alone beat Masta Ace, even if Necro maybe spoils that album a bit, and I don't think G Rap was even trying on this one.

A Long Hot Summer is at least 9/10, classic to me. never cared for disposable arts though My pick is Kool G Rap, catalog wise it's close, with masta ace being more consistent and prolific in the later years (as buck pointed out) but I learn towards the gangster s**t

If Master Ace never existed, it wouldn’t have made a difference even in the slightest as far as how hip hop advanced and updated. Can’t say the same in regards to Kool G Rap tho. He’s the Godfather. He laid blueprints countless rappers used and followed. I got love for Ace but c’mon son. Ace is one of Eminem’s primary influences. So by proxy he’s had a huge impact on the game from that alone really. Whether that was for good or bad, lol. True story.

But I don't think those verses alone beat MA whole catalogue, even though what I wrote came across that way. My bad.

Yeah I don't want to make it sound like I was hating on Masta Ace even though I don't like those two albums that much. If I were going to objectively list the top 25 MCs ever, he would be in there towards the end. Two very different styles when you are talking him and G Rap, musically too to an extent. I think G Rap has him in both categories.

1 G Rap album’s worth 3 Ace albums.
It’s just better rap music. From the beats to the rhymes it’s not even close to me.
And again, Ace don’t have a stone cold classic. Disposable Arts is whatever. It’s cool alright? It’s mad dated tho.
456 is that album that’s still on point. It’ll never sound dated cuz nobody can rap like that. Sht stays in rotation like Cuban Linx and Hell On Earth.

I used to have this tape called Juice Crew All-Stars. I gotta find that sht. It had that one song where the hook was like “JJJJJuice Crew All-Stars! Oh my goodness!”
Masta Ace was on The Symphony with G Rap and Kane. G Rap blew the whole spot up on that song and murdered everybody.
