I played that EC All Stars III A LOT I think it was when they were in their best era then.
f**k the whole thing is great IMO.
Yak Ballz - My Claim was a nice album, before he went more emo.
I was a bit disappointed with Cage - Kill the Architect

Most of the High and Mighty albums I like the songs with guests most. I always thought Mighty Mi's beats were better than Mr Eon's rhymes. Eon is still entertaining in a goofy way though.

This Lif song made it onto my mix tapes.
And this was one of the early EL-P / Lif collabs.

Lif is incredibly dope, I think he has a great voice for Hip Hop Emergency Rations Is great
also Brother J got one of the dopest voices too, but that album is underwhelming tbh, I had high hope after the Blackwards Row 12 but his Dark Sun and last 2 X Clan lps have been just ok….I was listening to Verbs of Power last week he was so good on the debut lp
I copped that High and Mighty lp I remember it had that Hands on Experience song which was awkwardly funny on it
Cage I prefer Movies and Weathproof and his Leak Bros s**t
Tuff Crew is good

Asamov-And Now... is such a gem. That is a top 5 album of 2005. The 9th Wonder beat on Real Good is something special. Willie Evans Jr. laced that album.
Some of Alchemist's best work was on those early Eastern Conference comps. Open Mic Night is a classic. The Red Light is ill too, that is back when Cage was ripping s**t.

yeah basic passed last year. i feel bad for willie. i know he's taking these friend losses hard and just seems like he can never catch a break. my heart goes out to him and Ja-one-da. on the other hand, glad willie released good grief. like he's said recently, his pain is our benefit or something along those lines. and yea aeo, yeah paten locke was a great guy and incredible artist. so glad i got to do this collab with him but wish he woulda lived long enough to tell me what he actually thought of the finished song we did (even if he woulda said it was wack cuz i know he was always brutally honest and took his Hip Hop super serious).. es1driven.bandcamp.com/track/the-meeting-featuring-traphik-pastensealso the first collab by myself and pastense. here we are years later cooking up a whole album together.

You can't front on this Cage song though:
Whether it is a real story or he's talking about hip hop in general as theorized. It is a f**king great song IMO. Late Camu Tao produced too.
