Apollo Brown is a chump. He’s sloppy with them basic MPC samples just pounding the pads like some retarded Neanderthal until he finds a winner.
With that being said, Anchovies was the one and only album from him I ever fkd with. He went minimal and had probably the best emcee he ever worked with to bless them beats.
I’ll check this out. Planet Asia is one of my favorite rappers.

This is like one of those series sequels where you feel like you need to re-watch the previous season before you dive in lol.
I got Sardines ready to go but tempted to find my Anchovies before hand.

I like the magic theme throughout this one. Here's a few lines I picked up across the tracks:
'a sorcerer of the universe'
'i put the alchemy in the algorithm'
'i was taught to communicate with oracles'
'i bottled up the particles and made a potion'
'historical black african voodoo medicine man screaming uhuru'
'this aint a magic trick this is alchemy'
'moving gracious, the sacred cloak'
'asiatic black magic'
'i'm walkin on water your blind eye could hardly detect'
My conclusion:
On the latest album, Planet Asia relies on references to magic to demonstrate the power in his rhyme arsenal.
