I recently bought a CD copy of Joe Budden's album No Love Lost and the last three songs on the CD make this annoying skipping sound that makes them unlistenable. The CD itself was new and there are no visible scratches or markings on it. I was able to get a refund on the CD and was thinking of buying another copy of it, but wanted to check here to see if anyone else has this album on CD and has the same issue. The fact that there were no scratches made me think it is a manufacturing defect that would effect all CD copies. Anyone else have this album on CD? If so, do the last 3 songs on your CD have a skipping sound as well. Thanks in advance for any responses!

Probably just a one off thing. I had a similar situation with a copy of AZ’s Decade compilation. Bought a new copy with no issues.
Only time I ran into something where it was a large scale manufacturing slip was with independent artist releases.
Adeem and Shalem-Transitions had two different releases on two separate labels. The original run all had a skip on like the last song. The second pressing on a different label did not.
Broady Champs-Breakfast of Champions has a skip on it somewhere.
Definition-Definition EP had skips all over it
Akir-Legacy had a skip on like the last song.
The way I was able to tell with those that it was a widespread was to find multiple different YouTube videos of the songs uploaded by different people where the skips were present or look at the artists Bandcamp page.
In those cases, it’s the way that it ended up being mastered ultimately since the digital copies have the defect also.

Do people still buy CDs?
I have lots of them from a past era but now my car doesn't have a CD player, the only way I can play them at home is in my DVD player through the TV.
You could save the refund money and download it for free?

hmmm sounds like a mfg. cd defect issue.
all love lost was a great album but i just truly hate budden since he stopped rapping and became the corny podcast personality he is today.

As far as manufacturing f**k ups. I've had 2 CDs in 25 yrs come sealed with no disc and only once I've had that horrible skipping prob wen there were zero scratches. I literally remember all 3 CDs to. But the skipping one was a Motion Man album.
