Anybody else think black milks production took a fkn nose dive after tronic and caltroit ???like for real tronic made me go back and get basically his entire discog on cd and I couldn't wait for his next solo, only to be disappointed like three times straight and then I quit checking for dude....

tronic one of my favorites but i love no poison no paradise & if there's a hell below too even though they're pretty different. imo the production quality never took a nosedive, but i don't like what he chose to do with that production in the last few years & how he's rapped over it as much.

he def got more soul and experimental after hell below. tronic was more hitting, straight forward. to me he reached the perfect balance on hell below,no poison, synth or soul and black & brown as those were creative and a bit odd but in a good way and they were still beats that were hitting.
he got too into the neo soul vibe, live instruments, too experimental. wasnt feeling the last couple releases. about to check this one.

damn, couldn't make it past the 30 sec mark on the first 5 tracks. not my style. cool production on some though but he's doing trap influenced beats now!? and once again singing hooks all over the place. my other issue is that hes always rapping on everything when hes only an average emcee. i've said many times that he should do albums with other emcees and compilations by him could be crazy.

Yeah, this one ain't for this crowd.. I'd have to really be in the mood to give this album a listen. There are a couple bright spots and from a production standpoint I can appreciate the different approach but I won't be checking in on this.. I do think he can make some pretty dope House beats.

On my crappy phone speakers, dont say was the best sounding track.
Man, i remember in college, it was like this guy would be the next dilla. What happened? Did he just hog all his beats to himself too much?
He has a pretty distinct sound, so maybe rappers didn't want his beats, because they'd stick out so much from the other tracks. In other words, his beats would kind of ruin the cohesion of a project. I don't know. Just thinking out loud here.
Spwaking of, whatever happened to 9th wonder? I haven't heard anything about him since his track on Kendrick's album.

I thought Fever was a great album. Haven’t peeped this but I like the diversity BM has with his projects. He has progressed from just a beat maker to a full on orchestrater and producer. Lyrics not always the illest but he sounds good over beats. To each they own though will check this out later.

After those two albums you mentioned I didn't really like anything he released. I just listened one of the new songs through Spotify Discovery and I can't even be bothered to listen the whole EP
