Magic > Everything that dropped in 2021.
It’s just an album with incredible replay value.
One of those albums that makes everything else seem wack so you just go back to it.
No bulls**t. Nas got it.
Honorable mentions:
Kings Disease 2
Everything Droog did this year
Everything Rome Streetz did
WSG HWH 8

I listened to that ego joint the other night. Solid front to back. For a "bully" type rapper guilty is far more skilled than the others in that subgenre. Versatile is the word.

Another year that had my thinking about how I enjoy hip-hop music way less then before. I'm getting old, so my tolerance towards lyrics from adults writing for teens and youngin's talking about drugs or life experiences I can't relate to keeps decreasing.. What that means is that the music has really good beats to my taste then I struggle to listen to most of it (even if I try to). Anyway here are some albums that I remember I listened more than few times in 2021. Sorted by release date from older to newer - Your Old Droog & Tha God Fahim - Tha YOD Fahim
Some really crazy beats there
- Planet Asia - Block Shaman
He is just one of the best rappers of the past 20 years. If he gets good beats then you gotta listen to it.
- Napoleon Da Legend - The whole in my pocket
Very solid production, flow and lyrics
- Onyx - Onyx 4 Life
Because at some point of the year it's always nice to have some classic hardcore boom bap
- Napoleon Da Legend & Akhenaton - The End Of Their World Part II
Impressive 20 minutes song. It's a must listen
- LICE - Ask Anyone
It's a a single but I don't care, I loved it
- Loaded Lux - Manifest Destiny
Loaded Lux can rhyme, sometimes I just want to listen to people who can rhyme
- LLoyd Banks - The Course of the Inevitable
I used to dislike anything related to 50 and G-Unit, but this is just a very good album
- Ransom - Se7en
Great rapper
- Ransom -Heaven is the head
Great rapper
- Little Simz
I don't like her voice much, I even find it annoying but it's a good album...
- Remedy - Remedy Meets Wu Tang
Just forget about how the guy looks and enjoy the music
SOME ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I also listened some of the from Flee Lord, Elcamino and other Griselda guys. Their music was solid and always have nice beats but everything sounded the same to me, their flows, hooks and subject matter is gets repetitive and boring to listen a whole album from them.. Especially Flee Lord habit to repeat the last sentence of a rhyme 2 or 3 times is annoying as f**k.
Planet Asia is/was one of my favourite rappers. He keeps releasing lot of good projects. He puts so much music out that it's hard to not miss anything... he never release bad music but most of it is good but not great.. The one produced by Alchemist was the worst one in my opinion, but I blame Evidence for his average no-drum beats

Someone on facebook said lloyd banks has had the album of the year the past 2 yrs running, why not make this a poll every year? Would be a great place to come & gauge opinion coz it obviously wasn't in the top 10 sales of the year & it wasn't even in the critics top 50 of the year
