Leandro di carpacio was fantastic as always and Brave Bite (french meaning) was as good as he can get. Best Tarantino flic in years.
Ad Astra was a disaster - especially the last verses. OK buoi you're a robot now, well done, applause, f**k off
Joker was the most anti block buster psychological flic with a full attendance in every theater that you will see for a daaaamn long time. joaquin phoenix ftw.

What did you not like about Joker karim? I thought that joint fits your anarchist a**.. Society criticism is not very frequent and tolerated nowadays in Hollywood so thats another thing that makes it so dope.

A few 2018/2019 movies I've watched lately that I liked:
Fast color Luce Starfish Greener grass Portrait of a lady on fire The farewell Plus one Parasite Monos Transit
Portrait and Parasite are two of the best movies of this year.
Hyped for uncut gems, waves, the lighthouse, and ford ferarri.

Watched parasite yesterday. It was absolutely great. So much topics and perspectives + a bit of creepy Korean psycho s**t at the end. I really liked it.

I couldn't get into Boarder.
Watched The Lighthouse tonight and loved it. Willem Dafoe gets hilariously worked up about Pattinson not liking his cooking in one scene. It's amazing.

Like, it's the only thing I do on Twitter: lurk film critics. I never tweet ior essage or anything.
They always share the articles they write or ones they recommend, so you end up getting lots of good insights and info.

The film sections of av club, slate, and polygon are all good sources. Or the letterboxd app, where people log the movies they watch and make comments.
Or following specific film critics on social media. Some good ones are:
Siddhant adlakha Bilge ebiri Lindsay ellis David ehrlich Inkoo kang A.a. dowd Ignatiy vishnavestky April wolfe Alison willmore Film crit hulk Bitter script writer

That's an interpretation I could buy into.
The Lighthouse is so ambiguous (in a good way), I hesitate to commit to any specific theory.
That scene where Dafoe is getting dirt thrown on him, he mentions Prometheus, and then the final shot is some real promethean imagery. Those two things are where my mind keeps going, when I think about what the movie was "about".
